As much as it’s not fun to admit you have to experience some discomfort in order to reach what you desire! Yes, a healthy lifestyle takes change and that change sometimes includes temporary discomfort.
I do want to make it clear that in order to create a SUSTAINABLE lifestyle you have to find what works. That doesn’t mean do what is comfortable and easy now and sustain it. Rather, this means that you are going to have to stretch now and find what does work. When you stretch and try new things you will experience uncomfortable situations and you have to be comfortable with that new discomfort. Remember this is temporary!
I typically ask people to try a new habit for 30+ days before they stop. If the discomfort turns to pain, disruption of other goals, or more stress then that’s not good and that grounds for stopping and moving to a different habit.
If it’s discomfort but you notice improvement… that will lead to growth!
